Mel Gross is a senior Associate of Advisors Financial Group.
Mel resides in Houston Texas. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from UCLA University. He attended graduate classes at the University of the Americas in Mexico City and the University of Houston while working as an accountant here in Houston.
He went on to earn a Master of Science in Financial Services Degree from the American College. He obtained his Charter Life Underwriter (CLU) in 1972, his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) Designation in 1982 and a Master of Science Financial Services (MSFS) designation in 1984. He taught continuing education to CPAs through the Center for Professional Education (CPE)
He has had a long career in the sale of insurance and investments. He has qualified as a member of the Top of the Table and the Million Dollar Table.
He was the Top Advisor of the Year in 2016 with Lincoln National. The Society of Financial Services Advisors awarded him the Benjamin “Woody” Woodson Award in 2016. Past President of the Houston Business and Estate Planning Council. Past President of the Rotary Club of Houston, Texas. Past Chair Operation Rainbow and other boards of public service.
Mel is Married to Nancy Gross and has 3 children and 6 grandchildren. He loves his business and enjoys knowing that what he does makes a difference in client lives.
